FAQ

What are the benefits of a massage gun?

The use of a massage gun is fascia training 2.0 and the further development of the classic fascia massage with rollers or balls. The technique has its origins in American professional sports and has been used more and more in professional sports in Europe for about three years.
When working with a massage gun, the positive effect is achieved by the massage head, which generates between 1,800 and 3,200 vibrations (impacts) per minute, depending on the level selected. The vibrations have an immediate and deep effect on the tissue and deliver significantly better results in blood circulation and the release of adhesions and tension than classic fascia training with balls or rollers. In addition, using a massage gun is much easier and more pleasant than classic fascia training.

What are the effects of using a flow massage gun?

You can use our flow massage guns for warming up and activating your muscles, as well as for cooling down, regeneration and rehabilitation. They are a real secret weapon for athletes and people who suffer from restrictions due to tense muscles. The difference lies in the treatment duration and the frequency used. You can find out more about this on our application instructions page. To the application tips

The use of flow massage guns can:

  • accelerate regeneration
  • improve mobility
  • eliminate tension
  • contribute to pain relief
  • improve healing after sports injuries
  • Prevent sports injuries

If in doubt, be sure to contact your doctor or physiotherapist beforehand and clarify whether you and your symptoms are suitable for working with a massage gun. Exceptions are for example:

  • pregnancy

What is the difference between Flow NANO, Flow MINI and Flow PRO?

We have summarized the technical differences between the three devices on one page. You can find them here.

But what does this data mean for you and which device is the right one?

Basically, the performance of the Flow MINI is sufficient to tackle almost all common problems and ailments of an amateur athlete and to improve regeneration. With its high-end motor, the long battery life, the scope of delivery and the extremely high quality of workmanship, it is at and even above the level of many significantly more expensive devices.

However, if you are an ambitious athlete, competitive athlete, professional or physiotherapist, we recommend the Flow PRO. The higher performance and the larger stroke pay off with heavily stressed muscles, the depth effect is better and the Flow PRO delivers a real percussion massage thanks to the larger stroke.
In addition, a long battery life, more massage heads and the possibility to exchange the battery play an important role, especially for physios.

The Flow NANO is our wellness massage gun. Its performance data and the heat function make it perfect for relieving everyday tension (e.g. neck pain after a day in front of the PC). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What is the difference between vibration massage and percussion massage?

The difference between vibration and percussion massage is the size of the amplitude/stroke and the associated depth effect on the muscles. Devices with an amplitude/stroke of up to 12 mm are referred to as vibration massage, and for devices with a stroke of up to 13 mm it is referred to as percussion massage.

Both types of massage are suitable for regenerative measures. The advantage of devices with percussion massage (e.g. the Flow PRO) is that the massage is significantly more intensive and the effect it causes is greater. Compared to vibration massage, you need fewer and shorter massage sessions to achieve the same effect.

What is the difference between the Flow massage guns and the other devices on the market?

The biggest difference between our devices and those of the competition lies in the high quality of our materials and workmanship. Other important differences are the performance, the price/performance ratio, the low volume and the long battery life.

  • Quality
Unlike most of our competitors, we have our own factory that only manufactures our Flow massage guns. This has the great advantage that we can carry out extensive quality assurance and have full control over the materials used. We only use high-quality and tested materials and every device is tested before delivery. Most of our competitors have production done in different factories and therefore have large fluctuations in quality.
  • Performance and price/performance ratio
Both the Flow PRO as well as the Flow MINI and the Flow NANO are the undisputed price/performance winners in their price categories. The currently only device that comes close to the performance data and scope of delivery of the Flow PRO costs over EUR 600.00. Devices that correspond to the performance data of the Flow MINI and can keep up to a certain extent in terms of quality and scope of delivery should be estimated at around EUR 400.00. Devices corresponding to the Flow NANO cost around EUR 200.00. We can offer the devices in this quality at these prices because we can calculate differently through our own production than brands that have to factor in third-party production and many intermediaries
  • Low volume
Both the Flow NANO (<28 dB at level 1) as well as the Flow MINI (<35 dB at level 1) and the Flow PRO (<40dB at level 1) are the quietest devices in their price category
  • Long battery life
Both the Flow MINI & the Flow NANO (3h battery life) and the Flow PRO (4-5 h battery life) have the longest battery life in their price category. Cheap devices in particular are often advertised as having long battery life (sometimes up to 15 hours), but our tests have shown that these battery life times do not correspond to reality.

How do we manage to offer higher quality at a lower price than the competition?

In contrast to all our competitors, we produce ourselves and sell directly and are not dependent on intermediate producers or middlemen. This allows us to offer the direct price ex works. This means we can dramatically reduce costs and pass this advantage on to you as a customer.

How long does the battery last?

The battery life for Flow NANO and Flow MINI is 3 hours, the battery life for Flow PRO is 4-5 hours.

In concrete terms, this means that you can use Flow NANO and Flow MINI with an average and reasonable usage time of around 20 minutes per day for around nine days without having to charge it. With the Flow PRO it is even up to 15 days.

How do I see whether the battery is fully charged?

In order to fully charge the device, it must be plugged into the charger for at least three hours . Shorter times do not fully charge the battery. That's actually not a bad thing, but the running time of the device isn't the full three hours.
With some devices, the LEDs on the device light up fully after about 45 minutes, but the device is only fully charged after three hours.

Why should you never completely discharge your Flow battery?

We use high-quality lithium-ion batteries for our flow massage guns. In order to keep the service life as long as possible and to avoid damage to the battery, you should never completely discharge your massage gun. Plug your device back into the power supply when the battery level is at 20% at the latest and charge it.

Is the battery replaceable on the Flow MINI and Flow NANO?

The battery of the Flow MINI and Flow NANO is permanently installed and cannot be replaced. However, since it is a high-quality lithium-ion battery, the battery lasts an average of at least 2.5 years before it slowly begins to lose power. This means that after the 2.5 years the running time will slowly decrease, but you can of course continue to use the device. This is the same as with any cell phone battery.

Are there exercise instructions and tips and tricks?

Of course there are these. We have created a separate page with all the important tips and tricks and two detailed application videos.

You can find them here

The brand new Flow app has also been available in the App Store and Google Play Store since early 2022. In the app you will find more application videos for all muscle groups.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We're happy to help!

How long and how often should you use the Flow massage guns?

We recommend an application time of 10-20 minutes for regenerative measures, depending on how many and which muscle groups are being worked on. The time for activation and warm-up can be significantly shorter.
You can use the Flow massage gun every day, it even makes sense. With daily use on the same muscle part, one day break per week makes sense - Six days treatment of the same muscle part - One day break - Six days treatment of the same muscle part

Is there a guarantee or warranty and how long is it?

As a German retailer, we naturally comply with the statutory warranty obligation of 24 months. In addition, however, we offer you a full 2-year guarantee.

What does that mean?
The legal warranty obligation has the catch for you as a customer that if there is damage that occurs after 6 months, you have to prove that it is damage that already existed from the start. This is impossible in most cases. We relieve you of this burden of proof and will replace or repair your device within two years of purchase without any major formalities if there is any damage that is not your fault.

How do you change the flow heads?

The heads of the Flow massage pistols can be easily removed to change them. There is no complicated locking mechanism or anything like that.

A little hint:

With simultaneous rotation of the head when pulling off, the head detaches much more easily

Do the Flow MINI massage heads fit the Flow PRO and vice versa?

Yes, you can use all of our massage heads for both the Flow MINI and the Flow PRO.

Do the Flow NANO massage heads fit the Flow MINI and Flow PRO

Unfortunately no. Since the Flow NANO is extremely compact, we also installed a different mount and different heads.

How do I activate the heat function on the Flow NANO?

The Flow NANO has a one-button control that regulates both the massage function and the heat function.
Long press the button once to start the massage function. You can regulate the massage levels by briefly pressing it. Long press ends the massage function.
Briefly press the button twice to start the heating function. You can regulate the heat levels by pressing briefly. Long press ends the heat function.
